Baby Trend Expedition Race Tec Jogger Reviews

So far this stroller has been unboxed, assembled, tires re-inflated and wheeled around empty, to see how it feels. We are on our 6th and last baby and have used a Bob revolution since baby #2. We thought we were done having kids and gave our revolution away, so when we were faced with needing a stroller one more time, we knew we wanted a jogger, and looked into new and used Bob strollers. After many hours of research, we decided to give this stroller a try, instead. A big part of that decision was the price tag, for only one last baby, the Bob seemed extravagant. Additionally, while the Bob was cutting edge 15 years ago, they have not changed much while other stroller companies have been catching up! So far, we are pleased with this purchase! It rides smoothly, the seat adjustment is quick and easy, better than our last Bob. The wrist strap has Velcro so it can be pinned out of the way when not in use. Folding and unfolding are quick and easy, and while it doesn’t fold down like an umbrella stroller, it isn’t bigger than expected and the rear tires remove easily if needed. The storage basket is larger and more easily accessed than our Bob Revolution, which I love! For the Bob, we had to purchase a child snack tray and a car seat adaptor bar separately, at additional cost. This stroller comes with the child tray, and since I have purchased a Baby Trend car seat, it will fit on this stroller like they were made for each other. (Because, they were!) there is also a parent tray, with two roomy cup holders and a phone tray, another feature that had to be purchased separately for the Bob. Altogether, I am very pleased with the value of this purchase, and the quality compared to a 2015 Bob Revolution, which was the last model we owned. A final note, black and gray were both sold out when I ordered, so I went with the pink/gray, with some trepidation. The pink is actually more of a dusty rose than a bright pink, and the stroller is still mostly dark gray. I’m quite pleased with the color combination. I was concerned that the pink would be too flashy and bright, but it is a nice accent color.

Pros:Put it together quickly, absolutely love the colors, and I couldn’t find this anywhere else. The body frame must be an upgraded model because this brand at the other stores just wasn’t made the same.Glides easily and turns great.Cons:The pictures in the directions show that the straps that lay over the babies chest are able to be moved to size of baby and that there are three holes it can go in and out of for adjustmenthowever,on mine they are just sewn to the back Support and are unable to be adjusted.Did not like that at allThe tires are rubber and need to be aired up don’t know if that’s something that comes on all jogging strollers but would have preferred the hard plastic ones.

PERFECT! I bought it and the snap tec car seat (in Moon Dust) separately (because I could not find the whole travel system in all black so this combo looked beautiful together, super sleek look that makes me excited everytime i need to use it) it fits perfectly for my 7.4lbs new born with no added padding needed although she does like a fluffy blanket with her. This is primarily to walk her or for other needed outings. I plan to keep this carrier as a back up car seat for hubby’s truck but chose the graco 3in 1 convertible car seat as her primary carseat because of its higher safety ratings and it’s super easy to snap the halter on and off…the halter for the carrier that fits this stroller can be difficult but it’s still a great travel system for shorter trips or as a back up carseat and it does snap on and off the stroller and base super easily. I’ve been able to walk her confidently around the block or to the doc for check ups because it has amazing shock absorption and when you close both the stroller’s super long shade AND the car seat/carrier onto each other towards the middle it’s like a little old fashioned buggy or a car (hubby calls it baby girl’s “truck” 😂) she can see out the sides and up at me through the peekaboo window (um, and breathe) & I needn’t worry about dust and wind or sun here in the “wild west”. Our neighborhood has more hiking and horse trails than side walks and we go out to drylakebeds for racing events/camping as a family so this sturdy guy is perfect.Love that the front wheel locks straight when hubby wants to jog or swivels for easy tight turns and normal walking for me. GREAT storage at the bottom for diaper backpack and then some. Cup holders for me, hubby and when baby girl is older and no longer needs the Carrier, her too. Wish the cup holder was adjustable because every cup/tumbler I’ve used so far is much narrower so it will rock on uneaven surfaces…perhaps I can find a silicone insert. The all black is super sleek, easy to wipe clean and when we take it out camping it looks like it’ll also be easy to hose down since the material offers rain protection. Tires again are awesome😎 I’m very impressed. Phone holder is super solid and perfect angle. It’s 50UPF which is important in desert climates. I still like to use a highly reflective chrome cosplay fabric over too for extra heat protection. We drive mid and full sized trucks and stick it in the truck bed, you may want to consider a truck bed cover for inclement weatherEDIT:If you live in rough, wild area that has plenty thorns like us, you’ll eventually need to replace the inner tubes with the super “Thorn resistant” ones, they’ve held up great! Also a simple layered cloth napkin in the cup holders let’s me keep a drink in there for myself…in black of course 😎😉…Bought the whole set up before baby girl was born, she’s now 5 months and we still LOVE this thing! I also added pictures (from most recent to oldest, left to right: at 5mos, as a newborn/under 1 month test fit at home, stroller by itself with hood folded back, with its hood drawn all the way forward)💕👼🏼💕✌🏾

A very nice, very big stroller. It was very easy to assemble. You can take the wheels off and fold the stroller quick and easy. And my 7 month old looks very comfy. I took it through grass with no problems and it comes with a wrist strap and wheel brakes for added safety. Over all a very nice stroller especially for the price. Love the 2 cup holders they are big enough to accommodate my 32 oz mug and can’t get over the phone holder.
